HSP GRANT

First State Bank & Trust participates in the Homeownership Set-Aside Program (HSP) that offers up to $15,000 in down payment and closing cost assistance to first-time homebuyers!

Who is considered a first-time homebuyer?

At least one household member (not a minor child) who does not own or is not an investor in another residence and who wishes to purchase a home that will be his/her primary residence. Candidates also qualify if they have not had ownership in a residence during the prior three-year period.

How much is the HSP grant?

The grant amount is $15,000 per household for properties located in Kansas. The grant does not require repayment if you own the home for five years. Completion of an online homebuyer course is required prior to loan closing. Household income limits apply to qualify for the grant. Contact us today for more details.
